Description

Delft blue scarf

This scarf is inspired by the well-known motifs on Delft blue pottery. A scarf with two surprising sides: the dark side with a color gradient from deep dark blue to blue with white patterns and on the other side the motifs are printed in delft blue on a white background. 'Who is afraid of blue' as the scarf is called, with beautiful intense colors, is extra-large of 200 x 15 cm and made of pure silk.

Made from 100% silk with an eye for detail

The Delft blue scarf measures 200 x 15 cm and is made from 100% certified, high-quality silk. The shawl was produced in the Netherlands and the clothing was made by the mother (1947) of designer Wanda van Riet, who was a hairdresser. Typically such a product with a good story!

Maintenance and packaging of the scarf

Because the scarf is made from 100% silk it cannot be machine washed. A hand-wash with lukewarm water is sufficient. The scarf is wrapped in a decorative foil and packaged in a beautifully decorated cardboard box.

About Jeroen Bosch

Around 1450 Hieronymus van Aken was born in Hertogenbosch. After primary school, Hieronymus went to the Latin School, which distinguishes him from most of his peers. At the age of 12, Hieronymus started to practice painting on canvas. At the age of 20, he married the wealthy Aleid van Meervenne and he moved to Aleid's house on 'De Markt' in Den Bosch. His reputation as a painter grows considerably in those years, both inside and outside the city of 's Hertogenbosch and he gained respect and status and started to sign his paintings with his stage name 'Hieronymus Bosch', inspired by the city where he lived, loved, painted, died and was buried.
