Nai010 Publishers specializes in publishing books in the fields of architecture, urban design, photography, art and general design. Founded in July 2012 through the merger of NAI Publishers and 010 Publishers, Nai010 is the largest internationally operating publisher in the field of art, architecture, photography and design in the Netherlands.
nai010 publishes books on its own initiative or in collaboration with leading architects, artists and cultural institutions. Nai010 collaborates with Het Nieuwe Instituut, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, TU Delft, TU Eindhoven, the Dutch Design Awards, the Dutch Photogrraphy Museum and their partners include architecture firms and government and cultural institutions, in the Netherlands and abroad. We regularly work on co-productions with foreign publishers. Our books are sold in more than 1,500 bookstores in the Netherlands and distributed worldwide.

Most of the books by nai010 are published in English or are bilingual to reach the widest possible audience. For their national and international distribution, nai010 publishers has access to an extensive, worldwide network of representatives. Nai010 books are available in specialized bookstores and museum shops from America to New Zealand and from Canada to Korea. The semi-annual bilingual catalog keeps a large (inter)national public informed of new publications, reprints and the backlist.

NAi Publishers was founded over fifteen years ago in the Dutch Institute of Architecture and has quickly gained an independent position. Since the early nineties, NAI Publishers - headed by director Eelco van Welie and his predecessor Simon Franke - has established a leading international position in the fields of architecture, art, photography and design with the publication of over 800 titles. These include bestsellers like the yearbook 'Architecture in the Netherlands' (of which 2012 saw the publication of the 25th edition), Sweet and Salty and Dykes in the Netherlands. Books by NAI Publishers have received many awards (Golden Tulip, Best designed books, etc).
Under the guidance of founder Hans Oldewarris and Peter Winter, 010 Publisher has produced over 700 titles in the fields of architecture and design in the last thirty years. These include classics such as Lessons for Students in Architecture by Herman Hertzberger, which appeared in 12 languages, S,M,L,XL by Rem Koolhaas and FARMAX by MVRDV. 010 publishers have received more 'best designed book' awards than any other publisher in the Netherlands: a stunning 67 times.
010 has been the recipient of many other international awards, including three gold medals in Leipzig for the Best World Book Design and Red Dot Grand Prix for the Metropolitan World Atlas. In 1994, 010 was the first publisher outside of the US that received the title "Publisher of the Year", awarded by the American Institute of Architects.
