Award winning designerFrederik Roijé graduated in 2001 from the Design Academy in Eindhoven. In 2002, he started his own studio for Industrial Design in Amsterdam. In 2004, he founded the 'Lift' association and since 2012 he is Art Director and founder of New Duivendrecht. A prolific designer, with lots of ideas, a clear vision and a relentless drive to put Dutch design on the world map. And not without success. Roijé is known for his creativity and innovativeness. He continually strives to take a product or space to the next level, often with great success. World renowned and acclaimed designs by Roijé include the Storylines bookshelf, the Walk of Flames candlesticks and the Lampscapes pendant lamp. Several designs by Frederik Roijé have earned him rewards. He received the 1st prize in the competition of interior design in Aalsmeer in 2002, the Tile lamp won a prize in London in 2004, the pendant lamp Lampscapes and bookshelf Storylines both got the Dutch Design Awards in Eindhoven in 2005 and in 2012 he won the ELLE Decoration Design Talent Award in Amsterdam.
